Beau Brosius Burns: The Toddler Who Saved Four Lives After His Tragic Death

A Drowning Accident
Beau Brosius Burns was a toddler from Texas whose name flooded the internet in June, 2022 when the tragic news of his death surfaced online. Everybody was shocked when they learnt that the small baby had died.
Beau Burns was the son of Rob Burns and Jenny (Beaudine) Burns. He was born on April 27, 2021 in McKinney, Texas. He had a big sister, Emma, who loved him dearly. He was also the nephew of Aly McDaniel, an internet celebrity followed by many people.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Beau suffered a drowning accident at his home. He fell into the swimming pool and was found unconscious by his father, who performed CPR until the emergency services arrived. Beau was then transported to Medical Center of McKinney. Once stabilized, he was helicoptered to Children’s Dallas, where he fought for his life for seven days.
According to CaringBridge1, the family spent the hardest days of their life praying for a miracle that he would be healed. They received prayers and support from family, friends and strangers who followed their story online. They also shared updates and photos of Beau on social media, showing his beautiful smile and personality.
A Heartbreaking Decision
Sadly, at 6:45 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Beau passed away in Jesus’s arms. His parents had to make the heartbreaking decision to donate his organs to save other children’s lives. They were grateful that God gave them seven more days with Beau. It allowed for them to rekindle their faith and to grow as a family. They were comforted knowing that Beau was celebrating his day in Heaven.
In a touching tribute posted on Facebook2, Rob Burns wrote: “Beau Brosius Burns is a hero. He saved four lives today with his organ donations. He is a miracle to the families who have been praying for their children to receive such a rare call.”
He also thanked everyone who supported them during their ordeal: “We are so grateful for all of your prayers and support over the last week. You have given us strength to carry on.”
A Legacy of Love
Beau Brosius Burns left behind a legacy of love and hope for many people. His story touched the hearts of thousands of people who followed his journey online. Many people expressed their condolences and admiration for his parents and sister, who showed incredible courage and faith in the face of tragedy.
Beau’s funeral service was held on June 28, 2022 at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home3 in Allen, Texas. The service was live-streamed online for those who could not attend in person. The family requested that donations be made to Children’s Health Foundation4 in lieu of flowers.
Beau Brosius Burns will always be remembered as a beautiful, vibrant, funny child who brought joy to everyone who knew him. He will also be remembered as a hero who gave the gift of life to four other children who needed it. He was truly an angel who touched many lives.
